An EXPENSIVE Tutor - You get what you pay for (Math/Chemistry/Physics)

What You Pay For

About Me:
  • PhD in Engineering, I graduated from the Honor's Program of a Top 5 US Engineering University at the age of 19 (B.S.).
  • Professional tutor since 2009 for university & high school classes. I have assisted hundreds of students (primarily university students) with their STEM courses and provided mentorship and guidance when necessary.
  • Graduate and undergraduate teaching assistant positions for Engineering courses.
I do not tutor elementary or middle school students.

What You Get

  • A PROFESSIONAL tutor - this is all I do, it's not a side gig.
  • A PREPARED tutor - I spend a considerable amount of time outside lessons preparing (no extra charge) to ensure the session time is used efficiently.
  • A DEDICATED tutor devoted to your academic success
  • An educator focused not only on the grade, but also on the underlying concepts and improving the student's confidence ... we may even have a little fun
  • An educator capable of relating dry material to real world problems & applications. Examples are often taken from my own academic & research background, a student's personal interests, current events and sometimes pop culture....sometimes.

What To Expect

  • Remote tutoring via Webex
  • A collaborative learning session - we'll solve problems together, this isn't going to be yet another lecture
  • At the end of the session all the notes and collaborative work are saved as an image file or a PDF and sent to the student.
  • I frequently compile additional resources for the student, including old exams, worksheets, additional notes (if needed), to deepen a student's understanding of course material.
  • Expect to walk away from each session with a sense of accomplishment. The goal is not to complete a homework assignment, but to make sure you understand the material well enough to complete the assignment on your own.

Reviews

Annie - General Chemistry

Her incredible and comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter becomes immediately apparent. As a result, she is able to approach the same topic from a variety of standpoints until it really clicks. She is incredibly patient, kind, fun to work with and always helpful.

John - Physics 2 - Electricity & Magnetism

She went above and beyond my expectations. She was always prepared and had a lesson ready each time. Her use of a tutor session specific notebook was huge and really made me prepared for my quizzes and exams. She put up with my at times stupid questions and never made me feel stupid for asking questions. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

David - Multivariable Calculus

I would recommend her to anyone that is struggling with calculus. She made concepts much easier to understand and she was dedicated to making sure that I was completely comfortable with a subject before we moved on. I wouldn't have gotten through calculus without her!

Kayla - Physics 1

I had an excellent experience with her this semester. I really struggled with the material at the start of the semester and had a hard time grasping concepts in class. She is an excellent teacher and makes sure you are fully able to understand the material in depth, not just memorize how to do a problem. If something did not make sense to me, she was able to explain the material in multiple ways, which I found very helpful. As a result of meeting with her throughout the semester I was able to achieve a high A in my class overall.

Will - Differential Equations & Linear Algebra

A truly wonderful person who makes taking your course feel like a team effort. She pushes you to put in the time necessary and gives all the support and resources you would ever need. She is much more than just a tutor.
