We’re hiring associate photographers for a mission-driven boudoir studio serving women 40+, many healing from trauma, divorce, or decades of body shame. Every shoot funds a night of safe shelter for a domestic violence survivor.

About Us

Purple Boudoir is Chicago’s only boudoir studio with a mission-first business model. Our work has been featured on WGN, CBS, and FOX32. Google “Purple Boudoir News” to see the coverage. We operate out of a private West Loop studio and currently hold a 3-month waitlist.

Position Details

• Contract role (1099) – 3–5 sessions/week
• Pay: $25–$50/hr depending on experience, plus bonuses for lead shooters
• Weekday work only — no nights, no weekends
• You’ll start by assisting, then lead as you're ready (we coach you up fast)

Requirements

• Female-identifying (client comfort and industry norms)
• A real boudoir or portrait portfolio — client work, not just styled shoots
• Comfortable lighting and posing curvy, mature bodies
• Confidence directing clients and creating calm in vulnerable moments
• Familiarity with lingerie styling (not just fashion posing)
• Own a camera, flash, and laptop (gear loan may be available short-term)
• Bonus: wedding, event, or family photography background — if you’ve handled pressure before, we can teach the rest
