It’s especially helpful vs most standard comps in that it has a crossover and can do high and low bands separately, this is also very useful on acoustic guitars to control and tame harsh quack y highs but let low end bloom and dynamics still punch thru.
It can add bit of saturation if you give it some attention tweaking but forewarning, the controls aren’t as intuitive as simpler boxes.
It will reward the knob twiddler though!
