MIJ 60s-era drum kit in a champagne sparkle finish. Includes 13" rack tom, 16" floor tom, and 22" bass drum. All hardware appears to be original. Note one lug on the snare is broken and needs to be repaired (see photo) - I just noticed this when taking photos of the kit.
Newer Evans heads all around, with a Remo res head on the snare. Toms have G2 on batter side, G1 on res side, all coated. EMAD heads on the kick make it sound SUPER punchy. Heads on both toms have been played, but there is still plenty of life left in them. These sound really great, I've gotten tons of compliments on how they look and sound.
Finish is a "champagne sparkle" with some discoloration in some areas. From what I have seen, this is typical for this type of wrap from this era. See these for comparison: https://evolutionmusicstore.com/products/vintage-1960s-starlight-stencil-drum-kit-gold-sparkle.
Some rust on the kick drum hoops, but inlays are intact.
Includes a bunch of extra hardware that came with the kit - see photos.
All of the badges were removed, but I believe it was a pre-Tama "Swing Star" kit made by the Hoshino Gakki factory in Japan.
This is a shell pack with that includes the vintage hardware parts that belong with the drums. No other cymbals or stands included, full set photos shown for context.
Can meet at Fort Knox in Chicago at 4255 N Knox Ave, Chicago, IL 60641 or I can meet somewhere in the northern 'burbs - the drums are currently in Glenview, IL.
