Stamped "Otto A Hoyer" Round stick, Silver mounted, 59.5 grams. Parisian eye, Original frog. Fine Pernambuco wood. Fresh rehair.
Not to be confused with a "Carl Hoyer" workshop bow - This is an excellent bow by Otto Hoyer, one of the finest German bowmakers. Otto studied under Sartory in Paris before opening his own shop in Markneukirchen.
Beautiful tone on all my violins, and a great playing bow. A strong enough stick, but still supple in handling. If you are looking to upgrade please take a look.
I'm a professional violinist for over 30 years. This is a great bow, but I need to let go of some of my collection.
