I can nit believe that I’m writing this…I’ve wanted this bass since the first time I laid eyes on it!! I finally pulled the trigger in January, and got this work of art home!! Unfortunately, life has many twists and turns, and this latest turn is seeing me sell this,(and a NS-2 in a different ad), because resources are needed elsewhere.
Ok…if you’re looking at this ad, you probably have a pretty good idea about the bass itself…the 2x is already a very iconic design in the Spector lineup, packed with all the goodies that make Spector one of the most coveted basses ever! Top notch hardware, active EMG P and J pickups, and the all important HAZ preamp all come together to create that signature sound that makes Spector so special!! Additionally, she’s optioned with a ebony fretboard, chrome hardware, and MOP inlays and logo. A hardshell Spector case with all the candy is included!
The thing that really sets this one apart from EVERYTHING ELSE, is the in you face Hot Rod flame paint done by the great Dan Lawrence!!! You might not know the name, but you’ve probably seen his airbrush mastery before!! Dan did custom work for Charvel/Jackson, and then BC Rich, before setting out on his own. starting DRL Graphics. While he did do a couple of other flamed 2x’s, they are all different, and I’m my opinion, this one is the absolute best, capturing that Cali Hot Rod vibe perfectly!! I included a short bio on Dan in the pictures.
This bass is in absolutely perfect condition… I played her for one set, and put her away…there is not a mark on her. I noticed that the case has a small dent, but that’s purely cosmetic.
The bass will be professionally packed and shipped via FedEx, insured for the full purchase price. Shipping costs will be a bit higher on this one because of the insurance needed to cover the value.
