THIS DESCRIPTION IS FOR BOTH PRESTIGE GUITARS, THEY ARE $375.00 EACH!!!
Here’s a pair of Prestige gold foil offset guitars made in Japan at the Matsumoko factory for Teisco in the mid-1960s, then exported for St. Louis Music in the U.S. Pots and wiring are original and 100% complete, and they feature a hardtail. These are both very lightweight and well-balanced short scale guitars. Volume knob on Prestige #1 has a chip around the bottom and can be seen in the pictures.
What’s so revered about these pickups? They’re characterized by scooped mids, clear bass and sparkling treble with complex microphonic harmony overtones. Players like Ry Cooder revered their extreme clarity and detail, and considered them superb for clean tones.
I'm located in Chicago, Il., and cross-streets for local pickup are Nelson and Racine. I will ship in the continental U.S. but buyer pays S/H.
