The amp is truly something special, it's the only one like it and has been modified with audiophile-grade customs. The amp started as a 1976 Fender Vibrolux Silverface original and still appears that way on the outside.
It has been majorly upgraded, with everything from the custom circuitry, caps and resistors, to the speakers, tubes, and kickback stands. All of the work was done over a number of years by an amp wizard, based in Madison, WI. He converted the 2nd channel to the holy grail Blackface spec (with some modern updates), and the other channel to a Marshall voiced preamp. For the Marshall channel, there is a multi-pot that controls both the bass and mid freq, in addition to the standard treble control. Both channels one and two have the reverb and vibrato in the signal! Also, the bright switch on the Marshall side is a gain boost.
I'll include a snapshot to a laundry list of things that have been swapped and modded, (by a professional amp tech). The guy had my amp for like 6 months, was difficult to get a hold of. I haven't heard from him since, despite numerous attempts. All of that said, he did amazing work, and I have enjoyed this amp for the better part of a decade. It is by far the coolest piece of gear that I have ever owned.
Here's the thing, I'm not in a band anymore. In my current living situation, I can't turn it up loudly enough to really make it sing. Plus, I have an amp modeler that manages to get things done for me, namely, in regard to recording, and even going straight to a PA if I really needed to.
I'd love to see this one-of-a-kind, custom in the hands of a great player. You won't be disappointed.
