Great-looking Pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster in Surf Green. Early 1964 with clay dots, L-plate and more.
This Vintage 1964 Fender Jazzmaster early Pre-CBS Vintage guitar has recently been appraised by Gruhn Guitars (Nashville) for $7500. No shipping requests please. It is cash and carry local pickup Only in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Will meet only at a police station where cameras and security ensure a safe exchange for everyone.
This restored 1964 Fender Jazzmaster is All original except for refinish/pick guard/decal, control knobs, and the frets have been redone. Everything else is All original, the body, neck, electronics, bridge, Whammy bar, pots, pickups, switches, tuning pegs, serial plate, etc. are all original.
Early 1964 Jazzmasters were made with alder "off-set waist" body, locking tremolo assembly, two single-coil pickups with white plastic covers, three-position toggle-type pickup selector switch, two "roller type" controls, one two-position sliding selector switch, bolt-on maple neck with adjustable truss-rod, four-bolt metal neck attachment plate with die-stamped serial number, "single-line" Kluson Deluxe tuners with metal buttons (e.g., not used on this model after Fall 1964), single rectangular "butterfly" string tree, 21-fret Brazilian rosewood veneer fingerboard with "clay dot" fingerboard inlays (e.g., not used on this model after Fall 1964), and other typical Jazzmaster model appointments.
Instruments made with Brazilian rosewood components (dalbergia nigra) are very highly prized by collectors as well as musicians and can command premium prices.
The guitar was appraised by Gruhn Guitars (Nashville) for $7500 and I can provide appraisal. I've also bought a New Fender Classic Series Jazzmaster case for it and I'm asking $7250 OBO. No shipping requests please.
It is cash and carry local pickup Only or arranged to meet.
Will meet only at a police station where cameras and security ensure a safe exchange for everyone. Thanks!
