We are a busy real estate management company with properties across the United States. The position we are looking to fill is for an administrative assistant handling maintenance and other designated tasks.
Our ideal candidate will have years of office experience—maybe someone replaced by AI or downsizing. This person must deal with follow-up, follow-through and details with exceptional reliability. Daily notes must be kept and be legible and accessible to others. While use of the Microsoft Office suite is expected, legible handwriting is a must.
This position would be one of four full-time positions in the office. It is an in-person, Monday-Friday from 9-5 position with no travel required. The office is located in downtown Chicago.
With a small staff, each person’s work impacts everyone else. Everyone shares tasks like filing, answering the phone and taking messages, lending others a hand when reasonable, etc. This job has a very steep learning curve, and following patterns established previously will make the transition less difficult.
This position is a phone-heavy job. You will be working with a multitude of tenants and contractors—both in Chicago and around the country. Building phone rapport is essential and being efficient in those calls is necessary.
You will report to the company president, through the office manager, and you will deal with both multiple times each day. This is an essential position and requires a commitment to long-term employment. Compensation will begin at no less than $50K annually.
