The Canon AV-1, one of Canon's more under-appreciated cameras being the auto exposure sibling to the famous Canon AE-1. With the AV-1 you can shoot in aperture priority mode, which is a somewhat more useful auto exposure setting than the AE-1's shutter priority mode. Keep in mind that unlike the AE-1 this model offers no full manual exposure setting, only the aperture priority mode. This camera is the reason that most cameras show the aperture priority setting as "AV" on the mode dial. These are notoriously reliable cameras and are very capable to this day. It really is a fun camera to pick up and just go shooting with, and with the wonderful line of Canon FD manual focus lenses you can use on this camera it will also take stellar photos too.
This one is in good shape with only minor wear, only a little bit of patina, a crisp (and Canon whine free) shutter and accurate light meter. This camera has been tested and is ready to shoot. The lens is a nice standard lens the classic Canon 50mm F/1.8 FD lens, which focuses nicely and has clean and clear optics. This would be a great user or add to a camera and a collection, just load up ;
have a collection of vintage cameras that I have posted elsewhere - Thought I might be able to thin out the collection if I post here as well!
I have no film to test but am familiar with cameras, and all buttons press, switches flip, and knobs turn as they should. All open and close securely as well.
