For sale is a 1958 Chevrolet 348" engine. I owned this for a long time. Cannot finish due to health reasons. Standard bore size block. The engine was originally a single 4 bbl. The tri power intake manifold is not original to this engine, but it has a 1958 casting date on it, the same as everything else. This was a complete motor all assembled when I bought it. The block, exhaust manifolds, cylinder heads, distributor, etc. are all dated 1958. The carbs are not original tri-power carbs, and need a conversion kit for tri power use. Comes with a standard size bore block, original 4bbl. intake manifold, tri power intake, 3 Rochester 2 bbl. carbs, crankshaft, harmonic balancer, timing chain cover, 1 pr. valve covers, 2 sets of cylinder heads, 1 set of rocker arms, valves, springs, retainers, keepers, locks, distributor, fuel pump, water pump, oil pan, dipstick tube w/dipstick, oil filter canister, oil filler tube, oil pump driveshaft, crankcase breather pipe, right and left exhaust manifolds, and 15 cylinder head bolts. The oil pan was glass beaded and primed a long time ago, and is still in nice shape. There are no pistons, connecting rods, or camshaft. Big block Chevy rods are the same size, and a direct bolt in for the 348" engine. The pistons and camshaft are usually replaced anyway. The engine is located in the Bridgeport neighborhood on the southwest side of Chicago. Thank you.
