Hey Craigslist!

My roommate is becoming an adult and getting her own place for her and her plants. It’s bittersweet, but couldn’t be happier for her. However, that means I need a new roommate!

The apartment is too good to let go, so I’m currently looking for a roommate to keep it in the family, so to speak. Available July 1 (potentially sooner).

Rent is $2,100 total for the apartment, split between us. I’m open to having one or two roommates. The right fit will dictate what we decide. Tell me what you think! Deposit is your share of a month's rent, and willing to sign a year lease.

The Apartment: 3 Bedroom. 1 Bathroom. Mostly furnished place. Open to new stuff if you want to add to the vibe.

The Rooms: One is the biggest in the apartment, fits a queen, desk, shelving, etc. The second is the smallest, also fits a queen, however, has a great closet.

The Location: Apt overlooks Eckhart Park. Short walk to Chicago 66 bus, Ashland 9 bus, and Blue Line (Chicago or Division). Easy street parking, no permit required.

The apartment includes:
- In-unit washer / dryer
- Dishwasher
- Central air-conditioning
- Built in-unit bar
- Dining room and living room
- Big windows
- Small back porch
- Extra unit storage in the basement
- Street parking only but people with cars have had no trouble finding places. Plus there are no permits needed on our street.
-no pets or smoking in the house.

Utilities are heat, electric, and internet, which come to about $150 a month total, which we would split.

Who am I?
My name is Brad, thirties, from Kansas City, and work in wealth management. I have an active lifestyle, foodie, social, love to ride bikes, exercise, and travel often.

I’m in the office 4 days a week, however, if I can spend a week here and there working from another city I will. I’m currently spending a lot of time traveling back and forth to KC, and given I’m not around a lot, having my own place isn’t necessary.

Looking for someone who is…
Responsible. Keeps common spaces clean. Respects others' space. Positive attitude. Lives an active lifestyle, and an overall easy going person. Ideally, someone that stays busy like myself, and is just normal, and kind :)
Open communication, cleanliness, accountability, and general love of living in Chicago are why we currently work so well as roommates.

The most important aspect is that the apartment is a safe, clean, and comfortable environment that you enjoy coming home to. It’s really a fantastic place to live.

Tell me about yourself, what you’re looking for, and your pet peeves :).

Talk soon, happy to answer any questions.

Brad
