With a heavy heart, we are subletting our Lakeview apartment located at 3407 N Seminary Ave. We are leaving Chicago at the end of February and we need to turn our lease over ASAP.
A few details about the unit: It is a 2bed 2bath apartment. It is about 1200ft2. One of the bedrooms has a bathroom attached and door to the outside patio. The other bedroom is a little bit smaller with a north facing window. The unit has central AC/Heating, and you will need to set up gas and electric utilities. There is also a dishwasher and laundry in the basement. The deck is very nice and a great spot to grow plants (we had quite the pepper harvest this year). Additionally, the living room has some nice sunlight and my plants have been doing well with the winter. There is up to two parking spots available. If you have lived in the area before, you can appreciate how crazy the street parking gets during the Cub games.
About the area: Walking distance (<25min) to everything Lakeview has to offer: Lake Michigan, Wrigley, Boy's Town, Broadway (Friar Tuck's), The Best Dive Bars around, Southport Corridor, Will's, Delilah's, Prost!, Kingston Mines, and the Music Box.
Public Transit: About a 8-10min walk to the Belmont CTA (red, brown, and purple lines). The Belmont bus is very close, as well as the Clark and Halsted bus lines.
Lease Details:
Lease ends on 5/31/26. You will be able to renew if you do not trash the place.
Rent is $3000
Move-in Fee: $600
Credit Check: $45 per tenant
Animals: Need to talk to the landlord to make arrangements.
Landlord: Very good, very reasonable, very responsive, best we've had in Chicago.
Some of these terms are flexible, as we are trying to fill this ASAP.
