We are seeking a serious and highly experienced Safety Specialist for a trucking company. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience with DOT and FMCSA compliance and be capable of managing safety operations independently.
This role requires someone who understands the responsibility and legal importance of trucking safety compliance and has proven experience working within a motor carrier environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain and manage Driver Qualification (DQ) files in full compliance with FMCSA regulations
Monitor and audit driver logs and Hours of Service (HOS)
Ensure strict compliance with DOT and FMCSA safety regulations
Prepare and manage DOT audits and safety inspections
Monitor driver safety performance and compliance records
Manage safety documentation and compliance reporting
Requirements
Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Safety Specialist in a trucking company (required)
Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
Proven experience with DQ files, HOS compliance, driver logs, and audits
Experience handling DOT safety audits and regulatory compliance
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
