Can earn $1,800 per week on 5 days of work if you are familiar with rail yards and work the right days.
Need full-time crosstown intermodal driver to move containers between Chicago area rail yards.
Driver needs to work 5 or 6 days per week, and one of the days needs to be Saturday or Sunday (busiest days).
The truck is a Freightliner Cascadia and you can work anytime between 6 AM and 6 PM.
The position will open late June. Current driver has given 5 week notice. If you would like to start sooner you can work nights. The driver who is leaving earned an average of $1,800 per week over the past three months. He worked Friday through Tuesday. Busiest times are Friday through Monday.
This is a 1099 position. Any work done Monday to Sunday gets paid the following Thursday afternoon.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 22.5 years of age.
- Minimum of 2 years driving experience with no crashes.
- Exceptions vary depending upon skill and record. May require additional training if necessary.
- No record of excessive speeding, 15 MPH or more over the posted limit in the previous 12 months.
- No record of Reckless Driving in past 3 years.
- No record of Seat Belt violation in the previous 12 months
- No record of Following Too Close or Failure To Reduce
- Speed resulting from a rear end crash in last 3 years.
- No record of a DUI in the past 5 years. In the case of a recorded DUI beyond the 5 year period, applicant MUST
provide documented completion of a substance abuse treatment conducted as prescribed by the FMCSR from
a Substance Abuse Professional, with documented proof of follow up testing.
- No record of frequent, unspecified moving violations in
the previous 12 months.
- Railyard experience required.
