Need full time class A CDL driver with at least 1 year moving containers between the Chicago area rail yards. Driver will have truck available 6 AM to 6 PM.
- Driver needs to work 5 or 6 days per week, with at least one of the days being Saturday or Sunday. Weekends are the busiest time of the week.
- Payment is 47% of the truck load, but it goes to 50% for the entire week if you do 30 or more moves (moves to and from Joliet count as 2 each). The driver you are replacing did over 30 every single week.
- The driver you are replacing averaged $1,800 per week in five days (Friday thru Tuesday). You can do this as well if you know the rail yards and are willing to work weekends. Also opportunity to earn approximately $100 extra weekly if you have hazmat endorsement.
- This is a 1099 position. No taxes are withheld.
- All work done Monday through Sunday is paid on the following Thursday afternoon.
- The truck is a Freightliner Cascadia and is parked near 22nd & Ashland in Chicago.
