Do you have a passion, hobby, talent or skill you want to share with others? We are seeking volunteers who can contribute 1 to 2 hours, on a weekly basis. Let us help you create a simple wellness program that will promote nurturing of the mind, body and soul of both our residents and our volunteers. Or you can develop your own curriculum or use one prepared by staff.

Examples of programs that need a volunteer facilitator:

Stars of the Golden Age

A volunteer is needed to facilitate a weekly presentation of movie stars for our residents. The presentation would consist of the star's personal life, career, films, and any special accomplishments. Our goal is to get our residents engaged with the volunteer and the group.


Our residents love, love, love Trivia! A little preparation every week prior to the activity is all you need to do extra - and we'll help. Then present Trivia questions to residents and watch the fun begin.


Searching for a volunteer who is creative and compassionate to facilitate a weekly Improv program. Our objective is create and encourage our residents to play, laugh, and enjoy the mental stimulation of the mind and body while enhancing both verbal and nonverbal communication.

Impact: The philosophy of wellness has been shown to benefit the elderly in many ways, ranging from increased cognitive functioning, increased mobility, decreased use of medication, decreased anxiety and depression, decreased hospital visits and an overall enhancement of independence and quality of life.
