collector wants to buy foreign language records, they have to be on 78 rpm. greek, hebrew, chinese, yiddish, french, vietnamese, india, pakistani, arabic, indonesian, albanian, syrian, any of the african countries and some more. IF YOU HAVE 12 INCH GREEK, HEBREW,CHINESE , I PAY EXTRA FOR THEM. depending on how you measure the record, the record could be a little over 12 in. but they are considered 12 inches in the record business.
some languages i do not buy, they are: spanish, italian, dutch, finnish, bohemian, czech, romanian, portuguese, Swedish, polish, Russian, ukranian, lithuanian
78 rpm records are the older records. they come in two sizes. almost 10 inches wide or 12 inches wide and they usually have one song on each side, sometimes, they only have one song on one side. the hole in the center is about the size that a pencil can go thru. they are made of shellac and if you drop them, they will break. sometimes, on the right side or the left side, you will see the name of the country or language that they are sung in. sometimes, you won't see any name of any language, instead, the songs will be in the language they are sung in.to me, the condition is not important. so if they have scratches, thats fine. sometimes, you will find a paper sleeve that the record is in. a paper sleeve is like an envelope with a hole in the center. you put the record in this envelope and the label can be seen in the hole in the envelope. sometimes records are in sleeves and sometimes, they are not.i don't care whether the record has a sleeve or not.
