A LITTLE ABOUT US
We've been buying record collections for 27 years (started when I was 14, hitting yard sales and buying family friend's collections), so have a lot of knowledge and experience buying collections. In the Cincinnati area, I put on the Northside Record Fair, one of the biggest and best record fairs in the Midwest, 13 years running. Have traveled everywhere from California, to Texas, to Florida, to Sweden, and Japan to look at records, so no place is too far. I work with two longtime friends out of Chicago who have been doing it for just as long, who handle our buying out there. We enjoy what we do, and enjoy meeting and sharing stories with collectors from all over the world.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What kind of records do we buy?
We specialize in jazz (avant-garde/free jazz especially), punk, post-punk, indie rock, psych, and prog rock, but we also buy classic rock, soul, R&B, blues, international, pop, and soundtracks. We buy CDs, cassettes, and vintage memorabilia, including concert posters and shirts.
What don’t we buy?
We don’t typically purchase records from the 1940s-60s, including easy listening, big band jazz, crooners, musicals, comedy, and most classical (except modern/avant-garde).
How much do we pay?
We generally offer 50% of what we believe we can sell a record for. For rare and valuable records, we’re happy to offer more, or work out consignment. We're 100% transparent about our offer and willing to go over values of individual records and what we're paying for them, as well as go over our math to ensure you're getting paid properly for your collection.
How important is the condition?
Condition matters a lot! We’re looking for records in excellent shape—no scratches, splits, mold, stains, or unpleasant smells. LPs need their covers, but 45s don’t necessarily require them.
