Why is it worth the price? It is high quality. It is venerable; it has proven itself over time to be very reliable. It is a lot more attractive than most ebikes. It is lighter weight and therefore more manageable than most Ebikes. It is basic; there is less to go wrong with it. The quality mechanical disc brakes may be adjusted by yourself. Batteries are inexpensive because they may be generic. I have 2 available; you get your choice + the 2nd battery is available as an extra. There is no digital display; that's good--concentrate on your riding and your surroundings. I know how fast it will go by watching the electric "your-speed-is" signs in Evanston. You cannot speed on a 20MPH bike, so your speed is somewhat meaningless. Concentrate on going an appropriately safe speed for the circumstances. i was an early adopter of ebikes; in my experience, most ebike riders go too fast! It has 26" wheels; most ebikes today have smaller wheels in order to cut costs for the manufacturers. I like A2B ebikes so much that I am keeping an A2B ebike for myself.
I use the ebike primarily for short errands. The smaller capacity battery will allow about 16 miles of travel. The larger capacity battery will allow about 32 miles of travel. If I am going on a very long trip, I may carry both batteries if there is any question that one will not get me there and back.
