Yes, I got my private in 1968 while attending Mather High School on the north side of Chicago.
I went on to college (UIC) and only once, later in my life, did I get checked out again at Palwaukee Airport (Now Chicagoland).
Flew a few times and gave it up again.
That was many years ago and haven't flown since, except when I handled the controls of a 150 while visiting a pilot friend in the Phoenix AZ area.
I went to flight school at Midway Airport. That was before the airlines came back. I learned on and flew 172's.
To the pilot who wants to know if there are any non-flying pilots in the area, here I am. I'm sure there are others.
I live in Morton Grove.
I'm sorry, but I don't feel comfortable using my email address or giving my phone number for everyone to see. Things are crazy these days. You just can't trust anything or anyone. If you're trying to form a FORMER PILOT GROUP, I think I would be interested.
Re-do your POST with a phone number or whatever.
By the way, I'm 76 and recently retired. I'm active. I walk at the Skokie Park District Weber Center.
WELL...I guess that many respondents got the wrong idea regarding my reply to the aviation post.
I AM NOT GAY AND I AM NOT LOOKING FOR ANY TYPE OF SEXUAL"HOOK-UP".
What I wrote is exactly the way I meant it. I will not respond to that type of thing!
