MOTOROLA FM STEREO Car Radio Adapter. Model FM990X solid state adapter that enables FM stereo to play through an AM car radio with a port for an antenna cable. Perfect for adding FM stereo to an older car with only AM radio. Comes with antenna jumper cable, in-line fuse holder cable, extra fuses; original Owners Guide (with installation and connection instructions), service book, sales literature. No speakers but any 8 ohm speakers can be used; speaker wires and plug connectors included. Not used or tested recently but worked perfectly when last used – and as an all solid-state unit, there are no components to degrade over time. $100 cash and carry from Wilmette, IL. You can even bring over a car with an AM radio and antenna port, and two speakers and some speaker wire, and test the FM adapter without mounting it; make the power and antenna connection, and turn on the AM radio and listen to FM stereo.
