Hewn, an artisan bakery located in Evanston, Illinois, is looking for new team members to assist with our wholesale and retail program. Responsibilities include packing baked goods, loading delivery vans and delivering orders to our wholesale customers in Evanston, Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, as well as working in the FOH serving our retail customers.
We need a dependable person who is an early riser - and who is very organized. We currently provide wholesale bread and pastries to 40 different restaurants, coffee shops and small markets in the near northern suburbs and Chicago.
Several shifts start at 4:30 am. Weekend availability is required.
Food safety certification is preferred, but if you don't have it, we will have you take the course and test at our expense.
We recently expanded our store, more than doubling our size. This is a great time to join a small but growing, family owned business.
Hewn has been recognized in the New York Times, Chicago Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, Saveur magazine and many other local and national publications for our commitment to making naturally fermented artisan breads and pastries. We have a wonderful team of people who share our commitment to making the best possible products. We are a part of Evanston's burgeoning food and drink scene, and we appreciate being in a diverse community.
