The black background side of the quilt was created using an overlaying of curved seam mirrored half-leaf pieces that are arranged in a grid with alternating orientation. The pattern forms an optical illusion of interconnecting circles on a contrasting background of squares for a beautiful 3D layered effect. The result is a modern geometric pattern to an original MCM design. This quilt uses rich, earthy color palette including shades of brown, olive green, tan, turquoise blue, and a geometric pattern of those colors over a black diagonal square background with copper gold stitching. The perimeter has a scalloped border due to its circular pattern.
The reverse side of the quilt has squares made of 4 triangles with the opposite triangles the same color and material for a modern hourglass patchwork pattern. There is no black color on this side, so the quilt is versatile if that is not your preferred accent color.
This quilt could be used as a throw blanket, and accent to your bedding top, or as wall hanging art. Must see in person to appreciate its fine craftsmanship, design, and rich colors. Cash only please.
