St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lake Forest, IL. This price is for two side-by-side companion graves ($31,200 each, but they can only be sold in pairs). The graves include the right to place a monument of approximately 4’ wide by 3’ high.

St. Mary’s has been sold out for decades, so it is difficult to determine the value of the graves. This price is the price you would pay at the Lake Forest Municipal Cemetery (for graves that are not nearly as nice).
St. Mary’s was originally part of the Lake Forest Cemetery and is the South-West quarter of the cemetery (enter on the corner of Sheridan and Spruce). The non-resident price for graves at the municipal cemetery is $31,200 per plot. BUT that only entitles to owner to place a small lawn level marker, not a monument, and you must be a previous resident of Lake Forest to purchase. The starting price for graves that entitle the owner to place a monument is $39,500 per grave and you must purchase a minimum of 10 graves, and you must be a current resident of Lake Forest to purchase.
