Sadly it's time to let go of my Carvin stack:
- Carvin Nomad 1x12 40W all-tube combo amp, featuring Stage 1 + Attitude Hasserl mods (see https://hasserl.com/vt50_mods)
- Matching Carvin 1x12 extension cab, and including a heavy duty Belden speaker cable
- OEM Footswitch with added LEDs (requires a 9v battery ONLY for the LEDs; footswitch still works properly if battery dies)
These have been around for a long time and you can find many demos and reviews on Youtube. One of the things I really liked about the amp is that it's easily one of the lightest all-tube combos you can find. And this set is in beautiful condition. 4 power tubes, and you can remove two (inner two or outer two) to run the amp at half power (e.g. bedroom playing).
The bakelite knobs are not in the best of shape -- I had to replace one, and you can see cracks on several. But I gigged with this for quite a while so they're not on the brink of falling off. Please see the pics. I'm including one additional replacement (you can get ones on ebay for cheap that are very close; or you can get legit replacements for more).
One tip too: for several years I played with a Celestion Century Neo speaker in the combo amp, and it sounded great. But more important, the speaker took another 10 pounds off the amp's weight...so you can get this powerful, all-tube combo to be even lighter if you want to!
I'll also throw in a tweed-style Grizzly guitar cable so you can complete the look! Also including a speaker cable for the extension cab.
Pickup in Glenview near Central and Harlem. And we can set the rig up in my garage for you to test it out.
I am open to trade offers. I am currently in the market for a Fender (no Squiers) or Sadowsky sunburst PJ bass. Would consider a sunburst Jazz body or PJ body with a pickguard (probably the only kind of pickguard I don't have lying around). I am also open to a modern generation multi-effect pedal (Line 6, Boss, Neural, etc.). If you have a higher-end one, I also have a Schecter Corsair that I plan to sell, and would gladly try to bundle things for a bigger deal. And I will consider throwing in cash if it rounds out a deal
I can only accept cash (or trades, obviously) at this time -- apologies!
