THE ROLE
The General Manager works directly with the owners to operate and grow the business. This is a hands-on leadership position combining operations management, team leadership, customer experience, and business development.
Our production team includes a mix of employees and long-standing independent subcontractor technicians, requiring strong coordination and relationship management skills. We value long-term relationships with skilled trades professionals and operate as a collaborative team focused on craftsmanship, professionalism, and customer trust.
Initially, the General Manager will be actively involved in field operations and estimating while helping strengthen systems and processes. As the company grows, the role evolves into full operational leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Operations & Leadership
• Work closely with ownership to set and achieve business goals
• Lead and manage technicians, subcontractor trade partners, and office staff
• Drive accountability, performance, and team culture
• Conduct regular team and safety meetings
Customer Experience
• Ensure high-quality execution for all jobs
• Monitor post-job customer satisfaction and proactively resolve issues
• Build relationships with homeowners, realtors, property managers, and service partners
Sales & Estimating
• Perform in-person estimates for residential and commercial customers
• Convert opportunities into scheduled work
• Support local relationship and referral development
Trade Partner & Technician Management
• Lead and coordinate a team consisting of both employees and independent subcontractor technicians
• Maintain strong working relationships with trusted trade partners
• Ensure consistent quality, professionalism, and customer experience across all projects
• Match technician skills to project requirements to optimize scheduling and efficiency
• Support onboarding and development of new subcontractor relationships as the business grows
Operational Management
• Manage vehicle and equipment maintenance
• Oversee job supply and equipment inventory
• Ensure safety compliance and conduct safety meetings
• Support administrative functions including payroll coordination and accounts payable

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Positive attitude with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Experience in handyman services, home improvement, construction, or remodeling preferred
• 3+ years of leadership or operations management experience
• 2+ years leading teams delivering strong customer experiences
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong desire to lead, improve systems, and help others succeed
• Valid driver’s license
