UNIQUE OLD WIZZARD FIGURE - 24” TALL - $15

This is a dramatic representation of the senior wizard with log white beard, a hooded satin and velvet robes adorned with that fairy dust magical staff and a sack of, we can assume, celestial gifts. I purchased many years ago and not seen or found any since. The beauty of this doll is in the choice of fabric, accoutrements, hair and facial features. It’s clothed in very rich dark navy-blue hooded robe, trimmed with a gold serpentine rope, lined with a sparkling gold fabric to match its inner dress and detailed with enchanting gold stars and crescent moons. A short deep velvet red cape or shawl drapes over the shoulders. To punctuate the drama the accessories, include rich gold beaded and serpentine chains, huge diamond like pendent, large whimsical sparkled gold branches and topped with a deep red and gold gift sack filled with decorated gift boxes and two metal gold filigree stars. All this would not be complete without a long white flowing beard and hair framing the drama and passion of his stately facial features. This doll is like a painting, it tells a story which little children can be immersed, creating an image, of so many fairy tales and stories magic. It is really a nice image and a favorite of mine any time of the year. Children and adults will love the presence it creates. Doll collectors can add a unique addition to their collection. We are not dealers or professional collectors, we simply love unique, whimsical things, but now we have to purge our possessions and this wizard needs a new home. How about yours?
