An awesome find. Currently unframed but needs one. I will update if I find one - but wanted to offer this for all now!
A real survivor. It may have been stored in heat, because when I unrolled it, the two bottom corners of the image (pic 1) were separating from the Mat (Seen in pic 2). Glue still attaching it at center. I believe you can see where the glue was originally placed on the pic of the back. I made sure it was straight and re-rolled with some paper, and it is now in a sealed tub in a climate-controlled environment. Price adjusted accordingly

Max Ernst (1891–1976) was a pioneering surrealist and dadaist artist well-known for his innovative techniques in painting, collage, and printmaking.
This poster is for a 1966 exhibition of Max Ernst’s work at The Jewish Museum, titled “Max Ernst: Sculpture and Recent Painting.” It ran from March 3 through April 17, 1966 and showcased both his sculptural pieces and newer paintings.
🎨 The artwork featured on the poster is a classic example of Ernst’s abstract style—dense with overlapping lines, textured forms, and ambiguous shapes that invite interpretation. It’s not immediately clear what the forms represent, which is very much in line with Ernst’s surrealist roots.
📍 The Jewish Museum, located in New York City, has a long history of hosting avant-garde and influential exhibitions. This one would have been particularly notable, as Ernst was a towering figure in both Dada and Surrealist movements.
