“This is a painting I did of Palace Pier (from Marine Parade). It shows the theatre at the end, which was sadly removed in 1986 and replaced with a dome. It’s called ‘Dirty Weekend’ because I like double entendres. Some people think the man looks like Dennis Thatcher. I make no comment whatsoever.”
FYI: Dennis Thatcher was a husband of Margaret Thatcher!
