This offering is for one vintage Bruce Fox, wood carving / cutting board with decorative cast aluminum longhorn steer head handles. This board dates back to the mid 1950s and presented to my grandmother for her work, from a millionaire Texas rancher named Hutchinson, we knew as Hutch. This remained in our family and was a centerpiece used only during family holiday gatherings. A unique item exemplifying Texas, ranching and cowboys. The board was produced by Bruce Fox Inc. which was founded by Bruce Fox in 1938 in New Albany Indiana. He was known as a metalsmith and sculptor who's designs featured nature and animal themes in wood, cast aluminum and sculpted copper during the post-depression era. The company transitioned through many years, owners and last noted in Florida in 2014 producing commemorative company gifts. This wood board features grooved pattern for collecting the juices during cutting and carving and this version includes a classic rancher stamp burned into the wood as complement to the aluminum longhorn steer head handles.
