This is a 1983 Trek 600 frame (Reynolds 531) that was professionally rebuilt as a single speed conversion.
Repainted many years ago with a matte black finish. The head tube and the seat tube decal area are finished with a gloss allowing the seat tube's vintage "Trek" lettering to show through with a nice touch.

Just rebuilt prior to sale to be a fast, reliable and lightweight urban road machine weighing just 21.8 lbs!

Brand new parts:
• Schwalbe Lugano 700c skinwall tires
• schraeder valve inner tubes
• brake cable housings new cables
• Single speed chain
• 1-Speed freewheel
• perforated synthetic leather handlebar tape
• Riveted classic-style synthetic leather saddle

Specs:
Frame: 1983 Trek 600 Reynolds 531 lugged steel frame
Wheels: 700C aluminum with quick-release front and bolted on rear
Tires: Brand new Schwalbe Lugano 700c skinwall
Brake Calipers: Vintage Suntour short cage
Brake Levers: Tektro Aero black
Handlebars: Ritchey Comp black
Stem: Vintage long-neck Techtronic
Crankset: CNC Alloy 48 tooth
Pedals: Cast Aluminum Platform w/reflectors
Seatpost: Carbon fiber

Measurements:
61cm (from the center of the crank to the top of the seat tube - indicated as 22" per Trek's specs)
59cm (center-to-center)
58cm (top tube center-to-center)
33.75" (top tube stand over height)
Based on the above geometry, the bike would be ideal for most taller cyclists 6'0" + in height.

The bike is in outstanding condition with a few use marks and shows minimal patina.
The matte black paint shows some minor nicks but looks great overall.
The frame is 100% straight - NO rust, dents, bends or cracks.
This reconditioned bike is tight, very fast, clean, wheels are true and is ready to hit the road.

Don't make the mistake of buying a neglected vintage road bike that needs "some work" or "TLC" only to find out that you need to spend $300 - $500 or more to get it roadworthy again. This one has been professionally serviced and is ready to go. The frame alone despite the repaint is worth good money.

I can deliver the bike to the Round Lake Metra stop if you wish to take the Train. I can also meet in the NW burbs as well on some weekdays. $320 cash. Thanks and happy cycling!
