3 different Chicago newspapers...Dec. 7 and Dec. 8, 1941! - $145 (Mount Prospect)

These all belonged to my WWII father , who served in the pacific marine fleet post office in pearl harbor....he saved these before going into the war.
These 3 Chicago newspapers document the attack on Pearl Harbor, a pivotal moment in history.
The dates on the papers are December 8, 1941, and December 7, 1941, respectively, placing them right at the start of U.S. involvement in World War II.
(Dec 7 was a Sunday paper...with the "funnies" still perfectly intact).
The attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, led to the U.S. formally entering the global conflict.
