You really needed this for Alamo Day on March 6th, if you're from Texas, or a proud American, this is for you!
It's a BRAND NEW 3'x5' all-weather heavy cotton (just like the original) not polyester, outdoor Alamo Battle Flag of Texas. Made by Defiance, the name brand of the Annin Company, the oldest and largest flag manufacturer in the United States, and authorized manufacturer of US Miltary flags for the US Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines.
Why is this important?
The first 13 days of the Battle of the Alamo, took place from February 23–March 6, 1836 in San Antonio, Texas. The siege began when Mexican troops under General Antonio López de Santa Anna surrounded the Alamo Mission, where a small Texan force of around 180 rebels had taken refuge. The Texans, outnumbered by 1,800–6,000 Mexican soldiers, fortified the mission walls and built palisades.
To make people aware of Santa Anna's disregard for the constitution, and their support for it, this variation of the Mexican flag was made. The Mexican emblem in the center of the flag was replaced by the date "1824".
This flag sent a clear and strong message to Mexico, and Santa Anna. The flag was a bold act of defiance against the Mexican dictator, General Santa Anna in 1836.
