Looking for a reliable HVAC technician for a long-term working relationship.
If you're an HVAC tech and have a good used A/C condenser (R-410A or newer), I'd be interested in discussing it.
My current Carrier unit is approximately 30 years old and has a refrigerant leak. If it's repairable, I'd also be interested in getting an estimate before replacing it.
The home is a 1,000 sq. ft. ranch with a 1,000 sq. ft. basement. It's an older house, so there is some expected air leakage. I believe a 2.5- or 3-ton unit would likely be appropriate, but I'm open to your recommendation.
I'm also considering modifying the duct work so the return air is no longer using the registers on the exterior walls. If that's something you can evaluate, I'd appreciate your input.
If you're interested or know someone who is, please send me a message. Thanks!
