🐾 About the Role

Are you passionate about pets and love helping people? We’re looking for an energetic, friendly, and motivated Team Member to join our Bentley’s Pet Stuff family! This is a multi-unit position with the home store in Long Grove, and occasional shifts in Arlington Heights and Schaumburg.

🌟 What You'll Do

• 🐶 Deliver outstanding guest service that builds customer loyalty

• 👋 Greet every guest with warmth and engage in helpful conversations

• 📚 Learn about our premium pet products and confidently make recommendations

• 💬 Share savings info like our loyalty programs & monthly promos

• 💳 Use the POS system for accurate transactions and daily procedures

• 🧼 Keep the store clean, organised, and merchandised to brand standards

• 📦 Support inventory operations, including restocking and store-to-store transfers

• 🎓 Attend team meetings and ongoing training to grow your pet knowledge

• ✅ Take on other duties and projects as needed

• 🐕 Love for animals and a genuine interest in pet health and nutrition

• 🤝 Team player with strong communication and reliability

• 🧮 Basic math skills and comfort with using technology

• 💻 Previous experience with POS systems and retail operations preferred

• 🚘 Flexibility to travel to Arlington Heights & Schaumburg as needed

💪 Physical Requirements

• 🏃‍♂️ Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move up to 45+ lbs throughout the day

• 👀 Visual ability to distinguish colors, depths, and details

📋 Requirements

• 🎓 High school diploma or GED

• 🛒 At least 1 year of retail experience (pet industry a plus!)

• 📍 In-person availability with weekend flexibility

• 🗓️ Willingness to work varied shifts across locations
