Location: Morton Grove / Niles
Preferred Gyms: LA Fitness or Anytime Fitness
Schedule: 1–2 sessions per week (in-person) | 1-year goal
Mitch is a committed endurance athlete (2:49 marathoner) training for a sub-2:45 finish at next year’s Chicago Marathon.
looking for a local trainer to help push his performance, refine strength and conditioning, and support measurable progress.
Key Goals:
- Marathon: Improve from 2:49 to sub-2:45 (steady progress over past 2 years)
- Body Composition: Reduce body fat from ~16% to 8–10%
- Strength: Build functional power (75% upper / 25% lower focus)
- Ultramarathon: Advance from 50-mile road to 75-mile trail endurance
Training Context:
- Run 6x/week (50–70 miles depending on season)
- Adding cycling (spin + outdoor rides)
- Need 3x/week strength sessions (1 hour each)
- Sessions should be efficient, high-intensity, and complement my running plan
Trainer Responsibilities:
- Lead 1–2 in-person workouts/week (Morton Grove/Niles area)
- Design independent 60-min strength routines
- Track progress in strength, body comp, and performance
- Provide accountability, feedback, and recovery balance
Ideal Qualifications:
- Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ISSA, etc.)
- Experience with endurance athletes (marathon, ultra, triathlon, Ironman)
- Strong background in functional strength and conditioning
- Access to LA Fitness or Anytime Fitness nearby
Session Format & Schedule:
- 60-minute high-intensity workouts (I warm up beforehand)
- Minimal downtime — focused and precise
- 1–2 sessions/week, with a 1-year performance partnership
