Awesome & massive RTR 600D speakers - $800 (Gurnee)

These are from around 1978. RTR was a popular speaker maker from around that time. While not the largest RTR speaker made, I believe it’s the second largest model and very hard to find. JBL?? Pffft. JBLs are like $10 Chinese Bluetooth speakers compared to these. Cerwin Vega? These eat Cerwin Vegas for lunch!
What we have here is 200 lbs of thigh slapping, blood pumping, nuclear brain damage!!! So what if they are as big as a Subaru and weigh as much ? You can be buried in them when you die.
2 12” woofers, 2 dome midranges and one horn tweeter per cabinet.
But on the serious side, the speakers sound excellent and will provide bass for miles. Not that 60hz bass hump you hear from lesser speakers, but good quality low bass.
And the condition is like new. The wood trim is perfect. Which is rare since these are 100 lbs each and things that big usually get dinged from being moved around. The grills are perfect. The midranges usually have the domes dented. But not these. They are in excellent shape.
They sound as good as they look. The foams were recently replaced so you are good for another 25 years.

When you pick these up bring a van or SUV. These are 4 feet tall and almost 17” wide. You aren’t gonna load these into a Toyota Corolla.
