You can hear the fire department, ambulances, schools, public works, railroads , and some police on here. This does up to 800 MHz
I say some police because most police departments are encrypted but chicago still does broadcast their dispatch calls unencrypted on a 20 minute delay. But even if a police department is encrypted it doesn’t mean everything is encrypted
I’m pretty far from chicago so the fact I’m picking these up is impressive. Someone who lives closer to chicago would hear more.
I do pick up lower WI on here and some lake county transmissions.
