This is a dead mint Gretsch G 6040 MCSS Synchromatic Archtop Jazz Guitar (Identical to the JV400 "Jimmy Vaughn" Model - $4,000.) If you want to save $1500 and don't care about having Jimmy Vaughn's name on the guitar the is identical. Top is Spruce, Back, Sides, and Neck are Tiger Maple. Single Pickup, Volume and Tone Controls are on Pick Guard. 17" Wide Bout. Hand Crafted in Japan. Hard Shell, Domed Case with plush interior. Sound Holes are the famous "Cat's Eye" shape. Corners of Holes are perfect. No separation. Neck is perfect and straight, and plays like a high end Archtop Jazz Guitar should. Played in Non-Smoking Home. Never Gigged.

This model was discontinued in 2010, and is very difficult to find in this condition.
