This Washburn USA Idol was built for Sonny Mayo and used for promo catalog photos, purchased directly from the Washburn USA Custom Shop and has never left my smoke-free home. At the time of the photo shoot, its release was being considered as the Sonny Mayo Signature model. It has a mahogany body, carved single-cutaway maple top, belly contour cutout (not found or available on a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom), 2" thick, and weighs ~8.5 lbs. With Tone Pros stop tail and tune-o-matic bridge, 2-piece mahogany set neck, ebony fingerboard, block inlays (MOP), 22 jumbo frets, a 24.75" scale, it's perfectly intonated to 0 cents at open and the 12th fret, and upgraded 50s wiring with paper in oil capacitor and upgraded 500k potentiometers.
The neck pickup is a low-wind custom shop model with split coil option and a Bare Knuckle (UK hand-wound) custom shop bridge, both with nickel covers. It also has exclusive Grover 18:1 tuners and Buzz Feiten tuning system, along with the GC37 hard shell deluxe case. Black and white were the standard colors for this model, and the Silverburst was a USA Custom Shop exclusive for the catalog photos.
