Do you feel like you've tried all the available sugar substitutes?
We have a new research study to evaluate the safety and tolerability of a commercially available sugar substitute in adults with Type 2 Diabetes. You could earn up to $2,000 for 12 completed study visits.
Sugar substitutes are commonly used in food and beverage products as a means of providing sweetness with fewer calories. The commercially available sugar substitute is a low-calorie sweetener that occurs naturally in small amounts in foods like figs and raisins. It is also produced commercially from fructose, a simple sugar that is found in many fruits, vegetables, and honey.
The total study participation is approximately 8 months. There will be a minimum of 12 in-clinic visits. If qualified, you may be compensated up to $2,000 for completing all study visits and tasks.
Qualified participants must:
-Be a generally healthy adult; 18-70 years of age
-Have a BMI between 18.5 – <40.0 kg/m2
-Have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for ≥3 months and be on a stable dose of blood sugar lowering medications or follow a physician-directed dietary and lifestyle treatment for ≥3 months
-Be willing to consume 3 servings of study product in a flavored drink mix daily for 6 months
-Be willing to complete 2 MRIs throughout the study
