This listing is for one Slik SH-908 super heavy duty tripod head, as shown in pictures. This is the second largest tripod head Slik makes, and it will hold almost any lens you can put on it. The first and second pictures show a larger and heavier Nikon lens mounted, which this head holds easily, without any challenge to speak of. You can take most of your heaviest lenses mounted to this head without a second thought, and not worry about them slipping or coming loose. Take a good look at the camera mounting platform, which is over half an inch thick solid metal. You can see from the pictures this head comes with two camera mounting screws for use with the more common 1/4" thread, and 3/8" thread for larger pieces. Depending on which mounting screw you are using, the other one stores in a port on the side of the camera mounting platform. Overall there are not many tripod heads that offer this level of support.
As tripod heads go, this is a heavy piece of equipment, weighing in at 3.25 pounds. They are still made today, though not too easy to find. If you can find one, they run a little over 200 a copy.
The chances of ever breaking this head are very slim. That said, this would not be practical for the average camera body, but for heavy equipment, it is one of the best heads you can buy.
