I built this back in welding school. It's a clone of a Whitlox wood/charcoal forge but all the steel is thicker. It uses fire brick from menards and Kaowool just like the original. The adjustable tuyere vents don't really work, but you don't need them to. It works fine on full blast, but the geometry is steeper than the original, which makes it a little harder to manage the fire. I am using B&B char logs from Farm and Fleet in the picture. As built from Whitlox, it would cost over $1,000
