We are looking for a part-time intern to entry-level landscaper designer. The hours of this position may vary week-to-week, with more hours during the summer and fall construction season. This is a great opportunity for someone that is just starting in the industry.
What we like to see:
Some background in landscape design.
Ability to do field work and site verification. This includes taking pertinent measurements and notes at jobsites and developing basemap drawings.
Some knowledge of common woody plants, ornamentals and perennials and the ability to develop landscape plans.
Ability to layout plants from landscape drawings for construction crews. Please note, this is not a labor position – you’d just help explain to crews where plants would go.
Great communication and attention to detail; ability to collaborate within a team
What would be a plus?
Live near or in the NW Indiana area and have your own transportation.
Some experience in Unilock UVision, or familiarity with similar 2D/3D rendering programs with a willingess to learn.
Background in landscape design or similar field with the ability to create design plans with planting and hardscape elements.

We are a small landscape design and landscape architectural studio. We work with local contractors and direct clients to develop landscape design plans. Our work varies from small backyard improvements to master plans for large scale developments. We are fortunate to have a variety of work but with that comes the need for additional help.
