We live in the city but our cat belongs in the country.
Let me explain… he came to us as a newly abandoned kitten. We did not set out to get a cat. He just showed up. We love this guy but, just in the last 24 hours he has brought us four victims: a rather large rat (someone’s pet maybe), a squirrel, a bunny and a shrew.
This is a regular occurrence. I really don’t think the rat was supposed to be outside. This looks like a domesticated rat that got out. (I’m so sorry to whoever may have lost their pet!) I don’t find the other three to be nuisances. However, people that are growing gardens might feel differently. He would love to live in the country where he could do his hunting and receive appreciation for his hard work.
Are you looking for a mouser? Are you looking for a barn cat? Mack is your guy!! He is healthy but has not been fixed. He uses the litter box but loves to be outside too. He will not be happy if he is simply indoors. He needs to be an indoor and outdoor cat.
Please let me know if you’re interested.
Thank you.

EDIT
If you’ve gotten this far and you think he sounds like a great cat but something just isn’t adding up for you (he’s not fixed, he’s an indoor/outdoor cat etc)… we also have a female that is fixed and is a little older. I believe she’s around six. She’s a brown tabby and she too showed up as a stray at my son‘s house. We had her scanned for a chip and we searched for her family for several weeks but with no luck. She is a great mouser and she likes to be indoors. She loves to get pet but she does not like getting picked up.
If you are interested in Jessica instead of Mack, I would love to talk to you about her as well.
