For sale is a really nice 1899 Barber Silver Dime. The Barber Dime ran from 1892 to 1916, and was a very popular design in that they used the same obverse for the half dollar, the quarter, and the dime in the same era. 1899 is not one of the key dates in the series, but what makes this coin so great is its high XF grade. It is very tough to find Barber Dimes in higher grades because they were so heavily circulated. So whenever you do it is a really nice find. And like all Barber Dimes it is 90% silver.
As you can see from the pics the coin is in great shape, and as mentioned above it is a nice XF grade. All images, date, and lettering are strong and bold. Every letter in LIBERTY are present and strong which is a big thing since this is the first thing to wear down on Barber Dimes. The coin has typical nicks and scratches to it for its grade, but has no major toning, no damage, and no signs of cleaning.
This is a very nice coin to add to any collection for such a low price. Please email me with questions or interest. Thanks!
