For sale is a stellar pair of the 1982 Washington Commemorative Silver MS & Proof Half Dollars in their original government packaging. These coins were minted in 1982 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of George Washington's birth. What makes this coin so notable is that it is the very first U.S. commemorative coin minted since 1954! That was the beginning of an era because commemorative coins have been minted every year since. It was also the first 90% silver coin minted since 1964. The obverse features Washington a top a horse and the reverse features his home of Mount Vernon. Both coins come in their original government packaging which consists of the box and certificate of authenticity.

As you can see from the pics the coins are in stellar shape. All details are very sharp and just pop. They both have their original mint luster. The proof coin has that gorgeous mirror-image finish with frosty white raised reliefs you expect from high quality proof coins and the MS coin is nice and blast white. They have no major toning or damage.
