For sale is a great pair of the 1923 & 1923-S Buffalo Nickels. The Buffalo Nickel was minted from 1913 to 1938 until it was replaced by the Jefferson Nickel we know today. This pair gives you both coins that were minted in 1923; there was no 1923-D. The great thing about this pair is the 1923-S is a main key date coins in the series because of its low mintage of just 6.1 million coins. That coin is valuable in almost any grade, and the higher grade you go the value increases exponentially.
As you can see from the pics the coins are in really good condition with all lettering, mintmark, and raised images clear and present. The dates is partially faded on the 23-S, which is very common with lower grade Buffalos. In fact Buffalos will not have full dates until you get to high VG grades. The 1923-S is a G grade, but the 1923 is actually a really nice VF grade with all details nice and bold.
This really is a must-have pair for any Buffalo Nickel collection. Please mail me for any questions or interest. Thanks!
